all know or most of us have recently realized that the importance of
Omega 3 oils in our bodies, and the importance of the Omega 3 / Omega 6
ratio is very important to a functioning, smooth flowing body system. Some of the recent information coming out recently is that
products like margarine, which have an extra Hydrogen somehow
chemically bound to the oils (to harden it)... is something akin to
eating plastic.
Way back in the 60's and 70's
the masses were learning abut the evils of white refined sugar. What a
shock to discover recently that foods such a margarine, and other
hardened oils are maybe worse for our bodies than white sugar. By the
way, aspartame is even worse - I would eat white refined sugar over
aspartame any day. At any rate, when I was little one of my favorite
candies was called a "Mint Meltaway." They were absolutely delicious.
It has been over 40 years almost since I had any - these Omega Truffles
remind me of that sweet spot in my stomach that was touched by those
gourmet mint meltaways.
